Her husband, 85-year-old Clermont Genesse, is being held on $1 million bond, charged with attempted murder and assault. Prosecutors may upgrade the charges to include murder when he returns to Rockville Superior Court on May 14.
According to the Hartford Courant, the early-morning attack occurred April 25, hours after Francoise and Clermont Genesse had signed papers to move into a home for the elderly. Clermont allegedly attacked his wife with a hammer and knife.
