Brandi Thompson, a Chicago-area native, has always had a love for journalism. It began taking shape when she wrote newsletters for her family as a kid and has since blossomed into much more.
A 2003 honors graduate of New York University, Brandi originally wanted to work in TV entertainment before an internship abroad threw a wrench in her plans. While taking a semester in London, Brandi was fortunate enough to obtain a position with Radio 5 Live at the BBC. Despite the 10-hour work days and overnight hours (which prepared her for the crazy hours she sometimes works here at 880), she immediately fell in love with newsradio and came back to the U.S. with some new goals in tow.
Brandi has been a member of the WCBS 880 news team since November of 2004. She currently works as a Producer and Writer.
