Soggy! Doesn't look like baseball weather, eh? I snapped these shots today from my hotel room. The construction that you see in the foreground is the old Busch Stadium.

VIDEO: Live action...almost. So I basically have the best hotel room any sports fan could wish for. I shot this quick video to demonstrate just how "live" (or not) TV sports coverage is. Of course, nothing against TV coverage. It's just funny to see how much of a delay there really is.

MULTIMEDIA: It's All Tied Up Now, it's a best of 3 series. I headed for the clubhouse to get the player's perspective on what's ahead.

Travel Day - Friday, October 6, 2006 I got less than three hours of sleep before packing my bags and heading to Newark Airport. Parked at my favorite spot across from the airport, Mr.B's, and caught a shuttle to the Continental terminal. Lines at check-in were lengthy. Didn't think I'd make my flight. But, I made like O.J. (The old O.J.) and hurdled my way all the way to the last gate in the terminal.

The Beginning - Monday, October 2, 2006 The first thing I noticed at Yankee Stadium on Monday was the weather. I can dig playoff baseball like this. I also noticed the painted LDS logos in front of each dugout; they seem smaller than in the past. I like this, too. Not too much bombast too soon. The red, white and blue bunting is back -- a staple at the Stadium this time of year.
