I joined the team at WCBS Newsradio 880 as a Desk Assistant on Friday, July 8, 2005. I worked many weekend overnight shifts. That's the 12:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. shift. On Tuesday, November 15, 2005, I worked my first shift as a Fill-In Web Producer keeping wcbs880.com up-to-date. On Sunday, February 12, 2006, I worked my first full shift in Tape Ops (a.k.a. News Production). After 230 shifts and just over a year working as a Desk Assistant, in Tape Ops, and as a Fill-In Web Producer, I was promoted to full-time Web Content Producer. My first official day was Monday, July 24, 2006. I am looking forward to my future in journalism.

As a high school freshman, I wrote the world news summary for a short-lived school newspaper called "The Journey..." In my sophomore year, I started working for TeenVoice, an on line magazine by teens for teens created by the Bergen County Academies. At TeenVoice, I worked as a writer and graphics artist.
In college, I worked for Emerson College's "WEBN (TV) News" as Coordinating Producer. That included being an anchor, reporter, weatherman, graphics artist, writer, and photographer. At WEBN, I helped cover the death of Emersonian Victoria Snelgrove following the Red Sox ALCS win, Senator John Kerry's election night in Copley Square (we never got to see Senator Kerry that night), and traveled to Washington, DC for the second inauguration of President George W. Bush. We at WEBN won awards from the Associated Press of Massachusetts and Rhode Island in 2005 for Best Coverage of Breaking News (College TV) and Best Weathercast (College TV). In addition, I wrote and, on occasion, anchored news updates for WERS-FM (88.9). WERS has often been ranked the #1 college radio station in America. While at Emerson, I also contributed to the Journalism Students' Online News Service (JSONS).
I grew up in beautiful northwestern Bergen County, New Jersey and have listened to WCBS Newsradio 880 for what feels like forever. It is truly an honor (and a pleasure) to now be working here. There are actually times when I wonder if it is really true.
