Fat Cat "Princess Chunk" is Really a Prince

BLACKWOOD, NJ (AP)  -- Whoever adopts the 44-pound cat found lumbering around Voorhees won't have to worry about kittens.

That's because ``Princess Chunk'' is a prince, and his real name is ``Powder.''

A veterinarian made the discovery on ``Live with Regis and Kelly.''

The hosts say the owner is an elderly lady who is moving and couldn't taken care of the cat, whom she named ``Powder.''

Since he was found on Saturday, the tubby tabby has been staying with Camden County Animal Shelter volunteer Deborah Wright. She says the cat eats normally despite its girth.

The largest tabby on record weighed 46 pounds, 15 ounces. That cat, who lived in Australia, died in the 1980s. The Guinness World Records has since dropped the category, fearing cat owners might harm their animals in an attempt to break the record.

Hundreds of people have called seeking to adopt the cat.
