1. HOW TO ENTER
a. The Western Union “Perfect Game” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) will be held during the “Sweepstakes Period,” beginning on June 14, 2008 at 12:01:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending on the earlier of the second occurrence of a Perfect Game or September 28, 2008 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (“End Date”).
b. HOW TO ENTER AUTOMATICALLY: Each time you send from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut a qualifying (1) Money in Minutes, Next Day or Direct to Bank transfer from a participating Western Union Agent location, or (2) Money in Minutes or Economy transfer through westernunion.com between June 14, 2008 at 12:01:01 a.m. ET and up to two weeks prior to the End Date at 11:59:59 p.m. ET you will automatically receive an entry into the Sweepstakes. An entrant is deemed to be the person whose name appears as the “sender” of the transfer. Transactions made by any other method including: Telephone Money Transfer, Western Union® Quick Collect® , Convenience PaySM and Prepaid Services transactions are not eligible. c. HOW TO ENTER WITHOUT MAKING A PURCHASE: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Open to all legal residents of the United States EXCEPT FLORIDA. To enter without making a transfer, hand-print your complete name and address on a piece of paper and mail to WCBS(AM), Attn: Perfect Game Entries, 524 W, 57th St., 9th Floor, New York, NY 10019. Enter as often as you wish but each entry must be mailed separately. No mechanically reproduced entries permitted. Neither Sponsor nor Station is responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, postage due or misdirected mail. Entries must be postmarked by up to two weeks prior to the End Date. A transaction will not increase your chances of winning. All material submitted via mail becomes the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. The Sweepstakes is open only to legal U.S. residents except Florida who as of June 14, 2008 are 18 years of age or older. Employees of the “Station, its licensees, Sponsor, their corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, advertising agencies, promotional partners, other radio stations in the tri-state area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win.
b. Only one winner per household is permitted.
c. All winners must sign a release form to receive any prize from the Station and/or Sponsor.
3. PRIZES
a. Grand Prize(s): Up to two grand prizes may be awarded, each in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000), payable as an annual annuity with each winner receiving twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) a year for forty (40) years. The aggregate ARV of all prizes offered is: $844,550 (based on the Net Present Value of the Grand Prizes and all Game Day Prizes).
b. Game Day Prizes: One (1) New York Yankees book. Approximate retail value is fifty dollars ($50).
c. All Game Day Prizes must be claimed at the office of the Station at the address indicated below. Each Game Day Prize winner will forfeit any prize not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning.
d. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes or any other expenses.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Sweepstakes are final.
b. Prior to each 2008 New York Yankees regular season game between June 17, 2008 and the End Date (“Drawing Period”), one (1) Game Day Prize winner will be chosen at random from among all of the entries (automatic and via mail) received up to two weeks prior to the game. The Game Day Prize winner’s name will be announced during or prior to the game. If the starting New York Yankees pitcher for the game pitches a Perfect Game, the Game Day Prize winner will receive the Grand Prize, in addition to the Game Day Prize. If a double header occurs, two Game Day Prize winners will be selected, one for each game on that particular day. If a make-up game becomes necessary, the Game Day Prize winner selected for the originally scheduled game will have a chance to win the Grand Prize during the make-up game. If a game is cancelled and not rescheduled, the Game Day Prize winner for that game will only receive the Game Day Prize.
c. The starting pitcher for the New York Yankees must pitch a Perfect Game for any Game Day Prize winner to win the Grand Prize. A Perfect Game occurs when the New York Yankees’ starting pitcher retires each batter on the opposing team during the entire course of a game, consisting of at least nine innings, and no opposing team batter reaches any base during the course of the game.
d. Odds of winning any Game Day Prize depend on the number of entries received. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the number of entries received along with the odds of the New York Yankees’ starting pitcher pitching a Perfect Game.
e. Winner does not need to be present/listening to win. Winners will be notified by the Station Operations Manager of Station within five (5) business days of selection.
f. Winners of the Grand Prize must execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within ten (10) days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will not be selected.
5. PRIVACY
The personal information you submit when you enter this Game is collected by Sponsor and will be subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Statement (“Statement”). Sponsor may disclose your personal information to third parties as explained in the Statement. To obtain a copy of the Statement, visit Sponsor’s website at www.westernunion.com or call 1-800-562-2598 and ask for a copy of Sponsor’s Privacy Statement. Information disclosed may include financial background; identification, such as name and address; transaction information; and other information relating to financial matters. Recipients may include financial institutions; retailers; companies that process transactions or provide other services for Sponsor; government agencies; and direct marketers. You may opt out of (direct Sponsor not to make) certain disclosures. If you do not opt out, Sponsor will assume that you agree that your information may be used as the Statement describes. 6. CONDITIONS
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the Sweepstakes, winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Sweepstakes without additional financial or other compensation, and, unless prohibited by law, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Sweepstakes or use or redemption of any prize. Prior to awarding any prize, the Station in its sole discretion may require winners to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its licensees, Sponsor, their corporate parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Sweepstakes.
d. Failure to comply with the Sweepstakes rules may result in an entrant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.
e. The Station and Sponsor are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Sweepstakes, or in the announcement of a prize.
