I've been a member of the WCBS news team since the fall of 2003. I started out as a desk assistant, but nowadays, can usually be found at the producer's desk during the overnights on the weekends. I'm also here mornings, afternoons and evenings or whenever the newsroom is in need of a fill-in writer or producer. Although the hours can be crazy, I love my job because the news is never boring. Each day (or night) always brings something new and exciting and sometimes, just plain weird.
Before WCBS, I earned my journalistic chops as a reporter and anchor at the Fordham University radio station. While there, I picked up a couple of awards including one for a feature commemorating the one year anniversary of the September 11th attacks. I also did a brief on-air stint at WNYC Radio and have worked as a call screener on a nationally syndicated talk radio show.
Of all the places I've worked, the people at WCBS are by far the best in the business. Not only are they the utmost professionals, but they also know how to keep it real, not to mention entertaining, whether it be three in the morning or three in the afternoon.
