Lynne Walsh

Lynne Walsh grew up a talkative girl with aspirations to be the first woman to land on Pluto with a successfull acting career. When reality kicked in, she narrowed her talkative self down to the wonderful profession of Journalism.

Walsh attended SUNY New Paltz where her love for journalism deepened when she accepted a position as Features and Arts and Entertainment Editor with her school's newspaper, the Oracle. Through this position she fell in love with newspaper design and layout. A love that resurfaced when she began learning about Web Producing for WCBS 880's Web site.

Walsh got her first taste of news radio in the summer of '06 when she interned at WCBS 880 and helped produce the Web package for their 9/11 Fifth Anniversary Web page. This package went on to win the New York Press Award for Outstanding Web Coverage.

She graduated from SUNY New Paltz Cum Laude in December of 2006 and began working at WCBS 880 as a desk assistant. Since then, she has taken on a number of different responsabilities including Yankees Tape Operator and Web Producer. She hopes to build on her Web Producing skills and further her understanding of Web page management and design.
