NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) issued a service alert Tuesday morning, but there was something wrong with it.
An alert was issued about the N, Q, and R lines.
All three of those subway lines (and the W line) are usually represented by the color yellow. This morning, that was not the case. As you can see in the close-up on the right, the Q was in orange.
We don't yet exactly know how or why this happened.
The Q was represented by orange until June of 2001 when it moved from 6th Avenue to Broadway.
This mistake was first noticed by WCBS Assistant News Director Robert Sanchez. |
