MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) -- A Long Island man faces up to 15 years in prison after admitting he stole more than $228,000 from a fire protection company where he worked.
Peter Peterson pleaded guilty in Nassau County Court on Wednesday to grand larceny and other charges.
He admitted submitting phony invoices to his employer, Sirina Fire Protection Services in Garden City.
In addition to prison time, prosecutors say Peterson will have to repay the money he stole.
He is scheduled to be sentenced July 22.
