Hello there! Thanks for tuning in! My name is Martin Untrojb and I'm a producer here at WCBS. I was born and raised in Argentina, living now in Forest Hills. I started at WCBS 880 as an intern through Queens College after leaving a career as a Human Resources Manager. The internship opportunity came after I e-mailed Morning Anchor Jeff Caplan, asking him how to break into the business.
Within a few months, I was hired as a desk assistant, and soon became a writer for the morning show, which led to work as segment producer in the days after 9/11, and a chance to produce on a full time basis soon after that.
My Radio career includes stints as reporter at WQUN, and at the Wall Street Journal Radio Network. You can also hear my voice in a number of radio and TV commercials in Spanish.
How do you know this job was meant to be? I was born 8/8, the same day we celebrate 880 day!
