New Jersey Restaurant Owner Is Unofficial Liason for North Korea

HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP)  -- The owner of a northern New Jersey barbecue restaurant has a lot to say about what's happening in North Korea.

That's because he's hosted North Korean diplomats for years, and traveled several times to the restricted nation to do his part for world peace.

Robert Egan decorates the walls of Cubby's in Hackensack with snapshots of people the U.S. government considers enemies.

Egan says the diplomats from Iraq and North Korea are friends.

He's been an unofficial liaison between the North Koreans and U.S. officials for more than a decade. He says he's upset that the Bush Administration is only now starting to negotiate with them.
