NJ Providing Help to Gulf Coast

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- With Hurricane Gustav expected to slam in to the Gulf Coast on Monday, New Jersey is moving to help residents there deal with the storm's aftermath.
Acting Governor Richard Codey signed an executive order Sunday mobilizing about 35 rescue workers, 10 vehicles and two boats from a task force in the state's Office of Emergency Management. They were expected to arrive in Baton Rogue sometime Monday night.
Codey said the group of personnel headed south was a mix of state, county and municipal workers and included search and rescue specialists.
``They felt our guys did a great job last time, so they asked for help again and we offered our assistance,'' Codey said, referring to hundreds of New Jerseyans who went to the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina hit there in 2005.
