NJ Transit Back to Normal

NEW YORK (WCBS 880)  -- Due to Amtrak signal problems near Newark, service on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line, and Raritan Valley Line had been subject to up to 60-minute delays. NJ Transit buses were cross-honoring rail tickets.

Service has been restored on NJ Transit's Montclair-Boonton Line.

Earlier, commercial power lines fell on the tracks and service was suspended between Mountain Lakes and Great Notch. That included the following stations: Mountain Lakes, Boonton, Towaco, Lincoln Park, Mountain View, Wayne Route 23, Little Falls, and Great Notch. Bus service was being substituted. Rail tickets were also being cross-honored by NJ Transit buses and Lakeland buses.
