Nursing Home Evacuated in Wayne

WAYNE, NJ (AP) -- More than 100 patients have been evacuated from the Care One at Wayne nursing home.
LISTEN: There Was a Big Emergency Presence 
Emergency management officials say a small fire in the boiler room was followed by carbon monoxide alarms.
Removing the patients from the assisted living facility was slow going. Patients were placed in heated tents while they waited.
Patients were transported to other facilities in Paramus, Parsippany and Livingston throughout the overnight hours.
There are no reports of injuries. |
