NEW YORK (WCBS)  -- Peter Haskell joined WCBS in 1994.  This followed stints at WCTC Radio in New Brunswick, NJ and WSUS Radio/TV in Sussex County, NJ.

He has covered a wide range of stories including breaking news such as plane crashes, blackouts and crimes.  He's witnessed championship sporting events including the World Series, NBA Finals, Super Bowl and Stanley Cup Finals.  He's also covered elections, including President Bush's campaign headquarters in Washington, and political conventions.   Like many reporters in New York, he spent countless hours covering the 9/11 terror attacks, the days that followed, the anniversaries and milestones and the stories that continue to unfold.

Through the years, Haskell has helped WCBS win awards for 9/11 breaking news and continuing news coverage, the World Trade Center Last Load Ceremony, the NYC Marathon, the I-95 Explosion in Connecticut, the Republican National Convention and a number of others.  For 2004, he received the Art Athens Award from the Associated Press in New York State for General Excellence in Reporting.
