RIVERDALE, NJ (AP) -- Traffic is back to normal along Interstate 287 in Riverdale.
The northbound lanes were closed for most of the day Wednesday after a tanker overturned, spilling a highly flammable liquid on the highway. The road reopened around 7 p.m.
However, schools in the Morris County town remain closed.
The storm drains are emitting an odor because of runoff from the spill.
There's no threat to people. But officials say they don't want children in classrooms watching people in hazardous materials suits cleaning the drains.
