Hi! Thanks for checking out wcbs880.com. As the Afternoon Drive Web Content Producer, anything that happens after noon falls under my watch. Updating the website sometimes seems like a daunting task, but there is no other place I'd like to take on that challenge than right here at WCBS Newsradio 880.
When I first got into this business, I never imagined myself being on the cutting edge of an emerging media... and that is, as I have quickly discovered, where I find myself to be. As each story is unique in its' own way, each day is different than the day before. Sure, there are the everyday tasks, but what makes web producing interesting is presenting them to you, the listener/viewer, in a way that engages you a little more than you may have expected.
I first became interested in journalism as a kid growing up in the East Bay area of California. I was always writing stories and reading newspapers, books... anything I could get my hands on. The time came to make decisions of what to study in college and the only subject I could seriously entertain was journalism. My passion for news and the excitement of breaking stories, changing format and the energy in newsrooms solidified my decision to enter the field of journalism after my internship in Seattle for the NBC affiliate, KING-TV.
Living in New York has always been my dream and waking up in this city every morning (either to Pat Carroll and Mike Wallace or the blaring car horns, whichever comes first!) is a thrill. After living all over the country and traveling all over the world, I know there is no other city like New York City. And to be part of a team that has such a close connection with the ins and outs of the entire tri-state area, is a great feeling.
