Six Flags Reveals 'Dark Knight' Ride

JACKSON, N.J. (AP) -- Screams in Jackson Township as Six Flags Great Adventure opens a new Batman-themed indoor roller coaster.
The Dark Knight ride is designed as a runaway subway car hijacked by the Joker.
It reaches speeds up to 30 mph and features hairpin turns, sudden drops into darkness and a video sneak peek of the upcoming Batman movie.

The $7.5 million ride is the park's first new coaster in two years.
Park officials say the heavily-themed coaster is aimed at families with older children. |
