WS Tickets: Prices Falling in NY, Steady in Philly

PHILADELPHIA (AP)  -- Ticket brokers say a rainy forecast and other factors are causing prices to fall for the opening game of the World Series in New York.

The New York Yankees are scheduled to host the Philadelphia Phillies in Wednesday night's opener.

But there seems to be more demand, and higher prices, for the weekend games in Philadelphia.

TicketNetwork CEO Don Vaccaro says Wednesday night prices have dropped from about $330 to $270 for the cheapest seats. He expects them to keep falling given the uncertain forecast.

Vaccaro says Yankees fans seem more inclined to sell their tickets this year, perhaps to recoup the high price of season tickets at the new $1.5 billion stadium.

He says the prices in Philadelphia are holding steady.
