WCBS Video Cellmate

WCBS Newsradio 880, the Tri-State's leader for up to the minute traffic information, is building out a new mobile network to deliver live traffic cameras directly to your cell phone, and we invite you to be a part of it!

The WCBS Video Cellmate is a cell phone application that gives you direct access to over 400 roadside traffic cameras in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut metro region.

The WCBS Video Cellmate is available free of charge to WCBS listeners who are cell phone subscribers with data plans on Sprint, Cingular and T-Mobile, as well as Blackberry and Palm Treo users on any network including Verizon.  The Video Cellmate works on popular cell phone models and more are being added all the time.  For an up-to-the-minute list of phones that support the Video Cellmate, click here.

All Video Cellmate traffic cameras deliver live, real-time video images.  Many cameras show full motion video.  Others update every few seconds.  We are constantly upgrading our network by adding new camera locations and faster image update rates.  When new or upgraded cameras come on line they automatically appear on your phone.

The WCBS Video Cellmate is easy to install and easy to use.  A simple series of menus allows you to select traffic cameras along the roads you travel and to save your favorites with the push of a button.
