Giants Super Bowl Parade Today

NEW YORK (AP / WCBS 880)  -- New York City plans to honor the Super Bowl champion New York Giants with a ticker-tape parade that will end with a ceremony at City Hall Plaza.

The parade is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Tuesday on Broadway at Battery Place and is expected to follow a route north to Chambers Street.

The Giants beat the previously undefeated New England Patriots 17-14 on Sunday night in Glendale, Ariz., for their third Super Bowl title.

HOW TO GET TO THE PARADE:

Taking the Subway:

The Lexington Avenue 4 Line5 Line6 Line line serves the Brooklyn Bridge - City Hall, Fulton Street - Broadway Nassau, Wall Street, and Bowling Green stations in Lower Manhattan. Because of expected crowding, however, Giants fans are urged to use the 1 Line line or the R Line or W Line lines to Rector Street, or the E Line to World Trade Center. Fans should also consider taking the A LineC Line2 Line or 3 Line lines to Chambers Street, the 2 Line3 Line to Wall Street, or the J Line to the Broad Street station.

Crowds near the City Hall R LineW Line station, the Park Place 2 Line3 Line station and the Brooklyn Bridge - City Hall 4 Line5 Line6 Line station may force trains to bypass these stations during the parade and ceremony at City Hall. GET MORE DETAILS>>

On the Harlem Line, a train departs Southeast at 8:30 a.m. and stops in Brewster, Goldens Bridge, Katonah, Mount Kisco, Chappaqua, North White Plains and White Plains. It arrives at Grand Central at 9:48 a.m. A return train departs at 3:25 p.m. GET MORE DETAILS>>
