Catherine Cioffi entered the world of WCBS Newsradio 880 while taking a class at Fordham University dedicated to the works of the radio station.  The class thoroughly studied the workings of WCBS from top to bottom, and she remembers just drooling! Everyone here was a superstar to her and the product…the work of the gods!   So you can imagine Cioffi's excitement the day she was invited to join the team!

Cioffi started her radio career in college at WFUV at Fordham University in the Bronx, anchoring and coving City Hall.  During senior year of college, she worked for WBGO doing general assignments in New York City and New Jersey.

After graduating from Fordham University armed with a Journalism/Political Science degree, Cioffi worked as a News Assistant at ABC Radio Network, as well as working on air at a few small stations around the tri-state area.   Three months later, she was off to Providence, Rhode Island to work for CBS affiliate, WHJJ.  From Rhode Island, Cioffi anchored for the hub stations in Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.  In addition to anchoring, Cioffi was also a general assignment reporter for the main station WHJJ.
