Ever since Phil left his job in Publishing, he has dedicated himself to sports writing and research. His baseball columns have appeared extensively on NYYFANS.COM, as well as on Sportsfanmagazine.com, whitesoxinteractive.com and baseballthinkfactory.org.
In addition, Phil is a freelance boxing researcher and scriptwriter for ESPN Classic. Phil lives in fear of combusting spontaneously during a key moment of a future Yankee game. (He keeps a fire extinguisher by his side while viewing.)
When not thinking or writing about baseball, Phil can be found reading Charles Bukowski’s poetry or lobbying Congress to ban NASCAR north of the Mason-Dixon line. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and four cats, one of whom is under house arrest.
