Photo Gallery: World Hunger Year 2008 Harry Chapin Awards Dinner WCBS Newsradio 880 was honored with a 2008 World Hunger Year Harry Chapin Award on Monday, June 9, 2008 at a packed dinner at the Light House Resturant at Chelsea Piers. Also honored, the National Farm Workers Ministry, Former Presidential Candidate John Edwards, and Singer/Songwriter Elvis Costello. WCBS was honored for its role in hosting the annual Hungerthon radio fundraiser for WHY each year in November. WHY's Noreen Springstead and CBS VP Scott Herman presented plaques to Steve Swenson, Tim Scheld, Tony Guida, and Wayne Cabot. Also in attendence, Joe Connolly, Tom Kaminski, Jared Max, Bill Tynan and David Mayurnik. Cabot and Guida did not sing but Elvis Costello did.
