Ed Crane

Veteran broadcast journalist Ed Crane has been reporting on radio and television since 1979. For the past 4 years he was a reporter and anchor for CBS Marketwatch.
Before joining CBS Marketwatch, Crane was a correspondent for CBS News, joining the network in 1982 , where he anchored hourly news reports, along with other broadcasts including the World News Roundup and Special Reports.
During his tenure at CBS, Crane covered such major stories as the O.J. Simpson murder trial, the crash of TWA Flight 800, papal visits, political conventions and numerous Presidential campaigns.
In addition to his radio responsibilities, he has worked as an occasional anchor of the CBS News TV broadcast Up to the Minute and has reported for WCBS-TV, New York.
Crane is also the promotional voice for The CBS EARLY SHOW.
Prior to coming to CBS, Crane worked for WBBM in Chicago. His career began at WIFR-TV, Rockford, Illinois. He is a recipient of the Chicago Headline Club Award and is a graduate of Northwestern University.
He resides on Long Island.
