The couple had filed a suit that was upheld by the United States Supreme Court that allowed the same sex marriage. Their request for a marriage license had been previously denied by the city of Beverly Hills. They capped off the afternoon with a Jewish wedding ceremony on the courthouse steps as same-sex marriages become legal in California.
