Power Outage Hits Co-Op City

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- There is a major power outage at Co-Op City in the Bronx.
Con Ed spokesman Chris Olert says power had been out in 8 buildings, 6 have power restored.
Two buildings are being worked on and won't be back on until Saturday morning.
Con Ed says Co-Op City maintenace workers had been working on their feeders which supply power to Co-Op City. One of the feeders tripped out causing a power outage to eight buildings. Con Ed says the problem is the result of Co-Op City management doing maintenance work on their own feeders.
