Officials say the spraying will take place across a large section of the county beginning Thursday night.
Three recent deaths on Nassau County may be linked to the West Nile virus, a mosquito-born infection that can cause serious illness or death.
Officials say there have been 10 reported infections in the county this year. There were two reported cases in 2007.
The spraying begins at dusk, when mosquitoes are most active.
