E-Mail Story Print Story Text Size:   A   A   A Posted: Thursday, 04 September 2008 8:19AM Nassau County Spraying for West Nile MELVILLE, NY (AP)  -- Nassau County on Long Island will begin aerial spraying against the West Nile virus for the first time since 1999. LISTEN: The Story from Garden City Officials say the spraying will take place across a large section of the county beginning Thursday night. Three recent deaths on Nassau County may be linked to the West Nile virus, a mosquito-born infection that can cause serious illness or death. Officials say there have been 10 reported infections in the county this year. There were two reported cases in 2007.
