US Open Contingency Plan

NEW YORK (WCBS 880)  -- Because of inclement weather expected to hit our area, the schedule of play for Saturday at the U.S. Open is in doubt.

Instead of the men's singles semifinals beginning at 12-noon tomorrow, they are scheduled to start promptly at 11:00 a.m.

If both matches are completed, but the evening session gets raind out, then the men's and women's finals would be held on Sunday.

If the bad weather prevents any tennis from being played on Saturday, then the men's semifinals and women's final would be played on Sunday. The men's title would not be decided until Monday afternoon.
