Rockwood Music Hall

Slewis@wcbs880.com

NEW YORK (WCBS)  -- The Rockwood Music Hall is the place to hear up and coming musicians in an intimate, spirited setting. Seven days a week and all shows are free (they do pass around a tip bucket). Don't be deceived by the name, it's not really a music hall, more like a hole in the wall...but very, very happening. You literally can walk in there any night and whoever is playing will be talented. Playing the room regularly is James Maddock, who calls Bruce Springsteen a fan, The Kin, who pack them in to hear their "Aussie Pop." Coming up on Halloween is Rich Girls, and Julia Darling on Nov. 7th. Also (plug plug plug) yours truly, Stewart Lewis, is performing there on Oct 30th!

Here is the schedule.Oh, and the pizza place next door is heavenly.

There is no better way to see how many fans showed up to cheer on the Yankees as the worked their way through the Canyon of Heroes better than from the sky. Tom Kaminski took these photos from Chopper 880. Enjoy!
