JEWETT CITY, CT (AP) -- State police say a Jewett City man used his 4-year-old daughter to make his heroin sales appear less suspicious.
Troopers arrested 23-year-old Robert Kunkel on charges of sale of narcotics, possession of heroin with intent to sell and risk of injury to a minor on Saturday night.
Kunkel was also arrested last month on a drug charge and was free on bond when he was arrested again. He's now being held on $100,000 bail.
The Jewett City resident trooper's office had been investigating Kunkel after getting a tip that he was using the child in an attempt to hide his drug sales.
Police say they found a substantial amount of heroin in Kunkel's home.
The state has taken temporary custody of the girl.
