NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A driver pulled over for going 100 MPH on the Bronx River Parkway didn't bother to stay and explain why he was going so fast.
WCBS Reporter Catherine Cioffi spoke to police officers who say the unidentified driver just took off and left his Mercedes, two passengers and a 2-year-old girl in the car on the side of the road.
"We have reason to believe that the person who was driving is in fact the father," said County Police Captain, John Hodges.
The driver is still at large.
The little girl was picked up by her mom, who didn't identify the driver, and the two passgengers left in the car. They also refused to identify the driver.
LoHud reports he incident happened about 9:30 p.m. near Vermont Terrace.
"Well, let's just say there were not that helpful," said Hodges.
Officers are still investigating.
