NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police say the 36-year-old woman was walking into her Uniondale apartment where her boyfriend Manuel Bonilla was waiting.
"The victim was grabbed from behind and thrown into her apartment," said Nassau County Police Lieutenant Kevin Smith.
WCBS Reporter Sophia Hall gets the details of the weekend captivity.
Smith says for two days the woman was beaten multiple times as she tried to escape, leaving the apartment only once to go to the hospital to care for her finger that was fractured during one of the attacks.
"Hospital officials really could not tell there was anything wrong with her as her body was struck and he stood by her the whole time," said Smith.
Smith says the beatings took place in front of the little girl until finally Bonilla left the apartment and the victim called 911.
Newsday reports the 36-year-old woman was finally able to call 911 shortly before 6 p.m. Monday when Bonilla left the apartment to go to work as a cab driver, police said.
