1. Senz Umbrella by Totes
Featuring Wind resistance up to 70 mph and named one of TIME magazine's best inventions of 2007, this umbrella is tough to beat.

2. The Windstopper High Point Hat from North Face
This hat features ear flaps as well as a drawstring to fasten around your chin.  The hat also features Gore WindStopper® laminate combined with Polartec 300® fleece making it windproof, breathable and luxuriantly warm.

3. Heat-Tech long underwear from Uniqlo

4. Snow Scraper
Most ice scrapers do a very good job of what they were designed for.  The trick is to make sure you always have one in your car.  Click here to find one that's right for you.

5. Winter Face Mask
Another item that can be very helpful this time of year is a winter face mask.  Any mask will do although masks made of neoprene provide maximum warmth.  You can check out a few here.

6. Gloves
Gloves are a definite essential in the winter.  Sometimes mittens are even better as they keep your fingers together making your hand warmer overall.  Make sure you get a pair with Gore-Tex for waterproofing.  Hand warming pads can also be very helpful.

7. Boots
Footwear for winter in the Tri-State is usually a question of dryness and not necessarily warmth.  Check out these galoshes and consider some wool socks for added warmth.

8. Lock De-Icer
Forget not being able to start your car in the morning, what about getting in it?  These de-icing products range from sprays to heated probes designed to get you in your car fast in the freezing weather.

9. Snow Shovel
Once your locks are de iced, you'll probably want to move that car.  The Sno Wovel is a snow shovel that sits on a large wheel giving you the leverage you need to clear that driveway or sidewalk.  The wheel also makes it so you never have to bend over to shovel saving your back and neck.

10. Hot Chocolate
Sometimes the best way to keep warm in this weather is by just staying inside and drinking some hot chocolate.  Check out these premium chocolate beverages from Ghiradelli to add some elegance to your hot chocolate sipping.
