Pair of Yankees Visit Young Cancer Patients

NEW YORK (AP)  -- More than a dozen young cancer patients had a chance to meet some sports idols yesterday -- when Yankees teammates Bubba Crosby and Johnny Damon paid a visit to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

14-year-old Shannon O'Brien, from Staten Island, says her face turned red after she shook hands with the pair.

She said it was the first time she'd been that close to a famous sports player.

Crosby and Damon also signed baseballs for the children.
