NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- It's a mystery. No one knows just how this wild turkey arrived in Central Park.
LISTEN: Sean Adams reports from Central Park
I found it scrounging for food near Wollman Rink, but it quickly disappeared. I wanted to find it again, so i got a turkey call and recruited two bird watchers to help.
When I tried to make the sound using my new device, I asked, "How did that sound?"
A bird watcher told me, "You have some work to do."
Admire this turkey from afar. Wildlife officials say don't feed it. Leave the turkey alone. It's hoped it will move on and find it's friends in the spring.
