PRESS RELEASE FROM THE NETS:

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ and SUNRISE, FL – As cold weather takes hold of  the Metropolitan area, the Nets and the Florida Panthers have launched the first-ever Snowbird Ticket Exchange Plan in which south Florida-bound Nets season ticket holders can exchange their unused game tickets for Florida Panthers hockey game tickets at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla.

Likewise, Panthers season ticket holders who are visiting the New York/New Jersey area can exchange their tickets for Nets seats at the IZOD CENTER.

Fans will be offered comparable seat locations for select games based on seat availability. There is a five-day advance notification policy. The plan goes beyond just sports, as season ticket holders of each team can also exchange their Nets/Panthers tickets for family shows or other select events at the other’s arena, based on availability.

This marks the first time that two major professional sports team have participated in a seat exchange program such as this.

“We know that some of our season ticket holders visit south Florida during the winter, so we are happy to provide them with the added benefit of exchanging Nets tickets for the chance to attend an exciting Panthers game not far from the beach,” said Nets CEO Brett Yormark. “We are all about providing access, and now we are extending that access to the warmth of south Florida.”

“This innovative new program represents yet another way for us to add value to being a Florida Panthers season ticket holder,” said Panthers president and chief operating officer Michael Yormark. “As I am sure many of our fans regularly visit the New York metropolitan area for business or pleasure, they will have an opportunity to add a Nets basketball game to their itinerary.”

Nets season ticket holders can take advantage of the Snowbird Ticket Exchange Plan by directly contacting their personal Account Manager, or the Nets VIP Access and Entertainment Department at 201-635-3411 or vipexperience@njnets.com. Panthers season ticket holders need to contact their account representative at 954-835-PUCK.

The Snowbird Ticket Exchange Plan is the new centerpiece of the Nets Season Ticket Holder Exchange Game Program, in which season ticket holders can exchange their unused tickets for IZOD CENTER family shows and events as well as access to the Sports Museum of America in Manhattan and to other select local sporting events.
