Fans wishing to catch a closer glimpse of Yankees batting practice will now be able to, regardless of where their tickets are. Until now, only fans holding tickets in the stadium's premier seating sections could be in batting practice zones. Beginning with tonight's game versus the Minnesota Twins, the Yankees will allow fans to enter sections 103-111 and 129-136, as well as all bleacher sections -- given they return to their ticketed seats "following the conclusion of Yankees batting practice or one hour and 45 minutes after the games open.
"This is just a small little thing, and I'm just happy that they did change this," Bill Madden told WCBS sports director Jared Max. "But," Madden said humbly, "they need to do a whole lot more before I would feel like my column had a significan impact.
