(AP) - New data from the Environmental Protection Agency says people living in nearly 600 neighborhoods across the country are breathing concentrations of toxic air pollutants that put them at a much greater risk of contracting cancer. The levels of 80 cancer-causing substances released by automobiles, factories, and other sources in these areas exceed a
100 in 1 million cancer risk.

(AP) - Iran's supreme leader says the government won't give in to pressures over the disputed presidential election, effectively closing the door to compromise with the opposition. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a meeting with lawmakers that: ``Neither the system nor the people will give in to pressures at any price.'' Meanwhile, state television reports the conservative candidate who finished third in the presidential election says he's withdrawing his complaints about voting fraud for the sake of the country.
