(AP) - An autopsy will be performed to determined what killed pop icon Michael Jackson. The body is now at the Los Angeles County coroner's office. Jackson's brother Jermaine said earlier at a hospital press conference that it's believed that the pop star died of cardiac arrest.
NYS SENATE...
(AP) - As the New York State Senate continues the fight for power, warring actions took a few minutes to gavel in and out of the special session Thursday ordered by Gov. David Paterson. Paterson has called them back for a session Friday. The Senate has been paralyzed since a June 8 parliamentary coup. The special sessions are an attempt to force lawmakers to act, but no bills have been passed.
GLOBAL WARMING...
(CBS) - The House is likely to take up legislation today to cut the pollution blamed for global warming. The President has urged passage of the "cap and trade" measure which he says will create millions of jobs. Many Republicans consider the bill a massive energy tax that will only lead to higher prices for electricity, gasoline and other energy sources.

(CBS) - It's the first annual Take Your Dog to Dinner Night. Restaurants across the country plan to welcome dogs. They include Max's Grill in Boca Raton, Carmichael's in Chicago, JJ Docks in Minneapolis and Buddy's in Lexington, Kentucky.
