| Photo Gallery: Evan Bindelglass Goes Skydiving for the First Time |
For those of you who don't know, I'm the morning Web Content Producer at WCBS Newsradio 880. Recently, I asked my friend Polina what she wanted to do to celebrate her birthday and she said "I'll probably jump out of an airplane." Well, weather prevented us from even trying on the weekend we would like to have gone, but on Saturday, June 27, 2009, we jumped out a plane for the first time. Each of us is hooked to an instructor. The first three jumps must be done in tandem. It was AWESOME!!! Neither of us think we'll ever experience something that will be quite as intense as our first freefall from 13,000 feet. We jumped through Skydive Sussex, based as Sussex County Airport in Sussex County, NJ. Enjoy the photographs below. Unless otherwise noted, all photographs were taken by Tony, who as photographer, jumped out of the plane with my instructor and me. If you want to watch the video, CLICK HERE. Thanks to Tony and my instructor Gary for his calm that helped make the experience that much better.
