EAST ORANGE, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the death of a 21-year-old man in a northern New Jersey police holding cell.
East Orange resident Jahqua Graham was arrested for aggravated assault and resisting arrest by police officers from his hometown on Friday.
Authorities say Graham was found Monday morning naked and unresponsive inside his cell at the East Orange Police Department. He was pronounced dead there.
The death is being investigated by the East Orange Police Department's Office of Internal Affairs and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
The cause of death has not been determined, pending completion of lab tests by the Regional Medical Examiner's Office.
