WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) -- Waterbury officials say a Wilby High School teacher smashed a glass jar against a marker board in frustration with his class and had to be escorted off school property.
The school system's chief operating officer, Paul Guidone, says the teacher threw the jar against the white board to get the students' attention and it shattered Tuesday.
Guidone refused the name the teacher, who was placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation by school officials.
Guidone says administrators escorted the teacher [Republican American] from the school.
No one was injured in the incident.
