TEXTING/DRIVING POLL...
(CBS) - An overwhelming majority of Americans believe that texting while driving should be illegal, a new CBS News/New York Times survey finds, with 97 percent saying the practice should be outlawed. A mere one percent says that the practice should be legal.


EXEC PAY...
(CBS) - The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee holds a hearing on how much executive compensation is enough.


NEW HOMES & FORECLOSURES...
(CBS) - The Commerce Department releases September sales figures for newly built homes today. Meanwhile, RealtryTrac's latest survey says cities in California, Florida and Nevada account for the 10 highest metro area foreclosure rates.


FOOTBALL & HEAD INJURIES...
(CBS) - The House Judiciary Committee holds a hearing today on the lasting impact of head injuries suffered by NFL players. A preliminary study done for the league suggests retired pro football players may have higher rates of Alzheimers disease and other memory problems.
