(AP) - Ford Motor Co. says it made nearly $1 billion in the third quarter, fueled by U.S. market share gains, cost cuts and the government's Cash for Clunkers rebates. The automaker says it now expects to be ``solidly profitable'' in 2011. Previously Ford said it would be break-even or better.
SWINE FLU VACCINE...
(AP) - Independent health advisers will begin monitoring the safety of the swine flu vaccine Monday. The government is taking extra steps to track the health of millions of Americans, to spot any problems quickly and explain false alarms when common disorders coincide with inoculation.
