NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Andrew Williamson-Noble, 20, of Irvington New York, was found dead in the lobby area of New York University's Library, of an apparent suicide, according to police.
Williamson-Noble, a Junior in NYU's College of Arts and Science, was found unresponsive at 4:30 this morning and was pronounced dead at St. Vincents Hospital, said police.
NYU President John Sexton issued a statement this morning urging students to seek out the University's resources to solve their problems. The statement reads, "No matter how difficult things might seem at any particular moment, your life is filled with promise."
In 2003, two students jumped to their deaths from the open balconies of the Bobst Street Library at NYU. After that, plexiglass barriers were installed as a deterrent.
