JOB MARKET...
(CBS) - Challenger, Gray & Christmas says the number of planned job cuts was down again in October, for the third consecutive month. Also today, the payroll services company ADP is issuings its latest jobs and hiring report.


ELECTION REACTION...
(CBS/AP) - Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele holds a Washington news conference this morning on the election results. Some see Republican wins in the New Jersey and Virginia governors' races as a double-barreled triumph for a party looking to rebuild. It could be a troubling sign for President Barack Obama and his party heading into important midterm balloting next year.


FIAT & CHRYSLER...
(CBS) - Italian automaker Fiat, which now controls Chrysler, today releases its five-year plan for turning around the company. Yesterday Chrysler reported its October sales plunged 30% from the same month a year ago.


SUING A PROSECUTOR...
(CBS) - Can criminal defendants who are deliberately wronged by a prosecutor sue for damages? The Supreme Court hears arguments today in just such a case.
