Original Story from the Journal News
On the way home from last night's game, Girardi stopped to help a woman who had lost control of her car on the Cross Country Parkway and crashed into a wall.
According to the Journal News, police say the woman was stunned by the accident, but was not hurt.
One cop says of Girardi, "The guy wins the World Series, what does he do? He stops to help... It was totally surreal."
